AmeriCorps Opportunities
Environmental Education AmeriCorps Volunteer
AmeriCorps Volunteers support school field trip programs, after school programs, and public programs in exchange for a cost of living stipend, education award, and other benefits for full-time Volunteers. During the term of service, Volunteers will receive training in all of the above topics, best practices in environmental education, group management, and have the opportunity to develop and try nature-based lessons and community programs of their own. We love to support Volunteers that want to try new and creative ways to connect people with nature. Wild Roots encourages people of all backgrounds and social identities to apply.

Wild Roots is excited to partner with the Boone County Conservation District, Nature at the Confluence, and Dekalb County Forest Preserves to offer opportunities for AmeriCorps members to engage in environmental education, habitat restoration and community science.
If you have questions regarding AmeriCorps opportunities, or would like more information, please contact Andrea Wallace Noble at
